Kitchens > Historic Mount Pleasant Kitchen

This grand historic home had a kitchen unsuited to life in the 21st century. After stripping everything down to the framing, we changed the layout entirely to bring in more work space, more storage, and more light. All fixtures, surfaces and finishes were selected to reflect the pristine 100-year old finishes throughout the rest of the house. Custom hardwood cabinetry and countertops were selected in close consultation with the client. We re-finished the original heart pine floors, installed a reproduction tin ceiling, re-furbished antique light fixtures and radiators, and created custom radiator covers. High-efficiency LED undercabinet lights, point-of-use water filter, and the use of spray foam insulation are some of the ways we introduce efficiency and performance into this renovation.
